Charles Schwab Institutional serves as custodian of our client assets. As such, Schwab holds all client securities (including cash) for safekeeping, and facilitates the ability of our firm to implement portfolio trading on behalf of our clients. Although there are a number of institutional platforms available to companies like ours, we prefer Schwab for a number of reasons, including its low trading costs, national reputation and operational capabilities.

Schwab Institutional has established controls that prevent the advisory firms using their services from obtaining access to client funds. Any movement of securities out of a client’s account requires written client authorization. Schwab provides independent reporting on a monthly basis so that clients can independently verify the security of their assets. Online access is available 24/7.
